To participate, please submit the application and a DVD of sample work by November 15 to the Olympia Dance Festival, care-of Ballet Northwest. A panel of renowned dance professionals from throughout Western Washington will be reviewing the applications. Groups will be notified of acceptance by December 31.

When not participating in master classes throughout the weekend, each group will have an allotted period of time for a dress/tech rehearsal with Washington Center production staff. The activities will culminate with the Olympia Dance Festival performance on Sunday, March 21, at 2 pm. Each dance group will be limited to eight minutes of stage time.

As this event is designed to be a celebration of dance in Olympia for the entire community, ticket prices will be reasonably priced at $10 (plus a $2.50 service fee). Participants will play a major role in the marketing and success of the festival within their communities.

In addition to the $100 participation fee (per group), each company will be asked to sell a minimum of 20 tickets and to help spread the word through their own networks by distributing posters and postcards. These tickets will be charged at a rate of $8.00 (plus a $2.50 service fee) to the groups, but participants are encouraged to sell them at the full price. The extra $2.00 per ticket is for the group to keep to aid in their own fundraising efforts. The more tickets sold, the more funds are returned to the group.
